so, the jetta's gone. i am happily the owner of a brand new debt...er, truck. It's a 2006 Chevy Colorado, very base (A/C, but no CD player), manual transmission, silver birch metallic (it looks silver sometimes and, um, birch others). it was, hands down, the most comfortable truck i drove, for both me & mer. we're taking it down the shore this weekend to see mer's folks.

in news that's just as exciting, i managed to finagle myself a 4-day weekend. sweet. tomorrow i catch up on house stuff, saturday and sunday we'll be in jersey, monday will be a me day.

i do have a need to draw on the collective lj brain trust. i'm looking for rainbow *cat* paw prints for my truck. i know they exist. i've seen them. but so far today, i've only been able to find bear paw prints. well, i found cat paw prints, but black, which kind of defeats the purpose. what i'm looking for are little individual paw prints, one in each color. i've seen them on vehicles - they're out there - i just can't find them for sale. anyone have any ideas?

this would be perfect, if the prints were not black.

ETA: i found this place, where i can get 3" decals from the UK for about $6.50 a piece, but i don't want them quite that big. sigh.

I couldn't find any either, but I have 2 suggestions if you can't find them.

1) Make your own at CafePress
2) Make your own by buying regular small rainbow flags, tracing the paw design you want on the back, and cutting it out. Obviously you have to make sure your design is as wide as the sticker to get all the colors. I and other friends have done this when we wanted unusual shaped rainbow stickers. I wanted a star--how hard would you expect that to be? But no! :-)

I suggest looking at the beach! ;) There are loads of kitschy shops with all sorts of that stuff. Barring that, I suggest Superkind...there's one in New Hope. Or heck...several places in New Hope would probably carry them...the first store on the left in the Four Seasons Mall had them last year. That's my suggestion! :)

that's perfect - unfortunately, if i if i want one of each color there's a $10 minimum per sticker per color with this place. i'm not enough in love with this idea to shell out $60 for prints.

i thought about that - but i think the little toe parts of the prints would be too small individually like that and would peel off. i am investigating the cafe press route.

There's a Superkind in Rehobeth (sp?) Beach DE as well...I don't know where you are going, but I bet you could find it there as well. :)

Ahhh...go to OC and go to a place on the boards called Pockets Plus...if they don't have it, try Drift In and Sea (8th and Boardwalk, I believe) OR Irene's which is down at 12th or so. I know OC pretty well. Even if you don't find what you want at Pockets Plus, you'll find 12 million things you don't need but want anyway! ;)
