A good way to end a shitty week

Mer's on a date, so I have the house to myself. It's Friday, so there's four or five hours of CSI on Spike. (And they're episodes I haven't seen before!) I just had a 2-liter of Sprite and a pizza with bacon, ricotta, mushrooms, and olives delivered. I'm wearing sweats and a henley. (queentushy's former henley, in fact.) oh, and as a before-dinner snack, I polished off a container of Ben & Jerry's Uncanny Cashew. Veronica Mars premieres in less than two weeks, and two weeks from exactly now, I'll be in a theater watching Serenity. A week after that, my baby sister is due. Of course, Paige will probably decide to come into the world either right before or during one of the two premieres I'm so looking forward to. But I'm okay with that. I've forgiven my lil' brother for plenty of things over the years - I just might have to start early with her. :) Hmmm....I think I'll set the VCR for that Wednesday just in case.

I'm tired, and in a lot of pain, but life is good.

Because I'm too lazy to find your email..I'm posting here. Think happy thoughts for me on Monday- I'm going in to the dentist for a consultation and to find out whether we'll be buying said dentist a BMW or Mercedes. Hubby had every one of his teeth pulled last Friday and I fear this to be my fate as well. I'll keep you posted.

ps. I rented the first 2 Firefly disks and have the other 2 in my Netflix queue.. now I'm looking forward to Serenity. Heck.. I might even be able to eat popcorn for the first time in about 4 years.

so, how did it go at the tooth doctor?

I go in tomorrow morning to have 16 teeth removed - in other words..all of the teeth on the top of my mouth. I'm scared shitless right now. They'll put in a partial and I should be able to eat semi-solid food in 7-10 days if everything goes well. I did however spend yesterday with my head in the toilet thanks to my sensitive system and the antibiotic the dentist put me on. I'm on a different one today (yay for pharmacists who have a clue!) and feel better. I'm eating pizza for my "last meal" tonight. I'd have ordered chinese but they don't deliver and I'm too nervous to drive.

Thanks.. I saved the other two disks of Firefly for this weekend purposely so that I had something to look forward to after the surgery.

Do you know which episode the picture of Jayne in the knitted yellow/orange/red hat with the earflaps is from? I'm just curious because there are a couple knitters making that hat for the premiere of Serenity.
