snow and flying

21 inches of fluffy, drifting snow. our complex's new management company is on the ball, I must say. The parking lots are clearer than some of the major highways around here. I only wish it had happened tonight instead of last night so I could take the day off tomorrow. Oh, well.

I did, and am still doing, some major flinging this weekend. i absolutely hate the amount of trash we have generated by doing this, but i'm listening to flylady on this one and ignoring that nagging voice for now. i have been doing laundry non-stop since 8:30 am Friday morning, and there's still a hill of laundry (down from a mountain) to go. purged a lot of clothing, too; that's the one category of stuff that didn't get trashed - it will either be donated locally or we'll hold onto it for the fat girl flea. Still have to go through all the holiday decorations - I have a goal of fitting them all in one box. last night, we successfully unpacked 4 containers of stuff that have been sitting in the corner of the bedroom almost 2 years ago, flinging them as we went.

Damn, girl! You guys got a lot done.

I love weekends like that. They hurt like hell, but the way the place looks and feels afterwards...yeah. :)

I took the week off from housekeeping to get ready for my gig in Connecticut (1 hour talking to a garden club about medieval herbs...?)
The house is now trashed, and the in-laws are coming on Saturday.
I envy you with all my heart.
